For driving any vehicle in Croatia, you don’t need a vignette, instead toll is collected at the toll stations on motorways.

Since end of 2017 MOL Group Gold Europe Card is accepted for Croatian Toll payment at the gates operated by HAC.
During the payment at the gates with MOL Group Cards no PIN requested. It provides payment possibility without discount granted on the toll fee. The toll fee paid by MOL Gold Europe Cards will be invoiced with the same frequency as your fuel purchases, according to your individual contract, included in the same invoice package. The invoice for toll fees is tax relevant document issued by Tifon d.o.o.
From November 2021 we are also offering the payment possibility with MOL Group Gold Europe Card for HAC Electronic toll collection (ETC) device.

There are different ENCs used for prepaid and postpaid models. The fee of the ENC is depending on the vehicle. You can purchase ENC either for your passenger car or for the trucks. The ENC for trucks should be linked to a particular license number and a truck. Only postpaid ENC can be paid by MOL Group Gold Europe Card.
For both - passenger vehicle and truck
Discount granted for private vehicles is 13,04% and 30,43% for trucks (linked to a particular registration and CEMT). Discount can be higher depending on gas emissions grade: additional 3% for EURO 4; additional 5% for EURO 5 and EEV and additional 12% for EURO 6.
In Croatia there were 4 different highway sections operated by different companies:
The state-owned motorway operator Hrvatske Autoceste (HAC) and Autocesta Rijeka-Zagreb (ARZ) merged on 1 January 2021.
Using Croatian Highway and payment of toll is defined by the Hrvatske autoceste d.o.o. General Conditions for the use of motorways and toll collection.
HAC ENC can be used on all motorways operated by HAC.
On Istrian Ypsilon (Istarski ipsilon), motorway covered by BINA Istra, HAC ENC can be used with a condition of contracting BINA ISTRA pre-paid HAC ENC user account. Details available on bina-istra.com/en. (Separate invoice is issued by Bina Istra, it is not part of MOL Group Europe Card invoice – separately contracted with BINA Istra, but same OBU / ENC can be used.)
For the motorways, operated by AZM (Autocesta Zagreb-Macelj), HAC OBU cannot be used.
Customers using Electronic Toll collection must buy ETC device (ENC) at one of the dedicated 13 HAC Point of Sales in Croatia (Service Stations are not providing ENCs). It is strongly recommended to check prior to entering Croatia where is the first HAC Point of Sales (link).
ENC customers are required to fill out or present a previously filled out form on POS.
After filling out the form and paying the ETC device (ENC) fee – depending on the vehicle, it can be paid by MOL Group Gold Europe Card – customer will get the ENC and it must be installed into car/truck.
For trucks the truck vehicle form must be submitted showing the license plate number, weight, Euro Emission grade.
The registration on POS can be done by driver as well.
When obtaining a new ENC it is active within next couple of hours (approx. 2 hours). In case of the existing ENC (OBU) but switching to payment by MOL Group Gold Europe Card, OBU (ENC) is active the following day.
Until the time ENC is active the toll fee cannot be charged though it, but a ticket needs to be taken at the toll gate.
The users with active HAC ENC when entering the highway do not take the ticket but use the lane especially marked ENC for payment of toll with their active OBU.
Payment with ENC for the toll will provide some discount (hac.hr/en/toll/toll-rates). For MGC Customers the payment will happen with regular invoice period, with separate invoice – payment on MGC account.
Usage of ENC can be checked on HAC webpage – the service is contracted free of charge at the time of obtaining the ENC – proper e-mail address must be provided and the user name and the pin will be provided to that e-mail address with instructions on how to activate the account. If MOL Group Gold Europe Card is changed (new card based on expired one; new car registration number, card switch etc....) the registration form is required to be filled out for linking the ENC to the new card number (link). It is required to go to the POS in Croatia and the change is effective one day after.
We would like to draw your attention if the MOL Group Gold card (paired with the ENC device) is blocked as a means of payment due to unpaid invoice debt, the post-paid payment possibility for the ENC device will be discontinued. These changes are done once a day and will only be available one day after the MOL Group Gold card is activated again.
In case of transferring the existing Prepaid ENC into postpaid, the prepaid account will be closed and a request for return of unused funds is to be submitted.
HAC guarantee for ENC and confirmation of receipt (ENC details) are provided by HAC at the time of purchasing the ENC.
Large companies – one application may be submitted by one company representative (with original ENC Application Form and copies of vehicle documents) and after that drivers are able to pick up their ENC with providing a copy of the application form and with original vehicle documents and their MOL Group Europe card.
